Second Physician's Opinion

Pathologists are physicians specifically trained in diagnosing disease through examinations of organs, tissues, bodily fluids, and whole bodies.  It is essential that testing and interpretation of results are accurate.  Pathologists use final test results in formulating a treatment plan. If there were complications or controversy in the findings, a second pathologist's opinion maybe needed.  This is highly suggested for rare types of cancer or cancers that have already metastasized.
