Men for a Cause believes that regular screening enables the detection of early stage breast cancer and that all women should have access to life-saving mammograms. Our National Mammography Program aims to make early screening and treatment options available to uninsured and underprivileged women.
The goals of the MFAC mammography program include:
- Educating men and women about the importance of regular self-breast exams, mammograms, and medical exams in detecting and treating breast cancer.
- Providing mammograms to uninsured and underprivileged women, as well as any follow up treatment judged necessary after the primary screening.
- Create outreach programs into low-income areas, to increase breast cancer awareness and to refer residents to this and other services available to help them live healthy, cancer-free lives.
