Maxine Valdez May Grant

We invite individuals and research institutions to apply for the Maxine Valdez May Grant, and targeted to be accepting applications September 2010.

When an individual is diagnosed with breast cancer, and can’t afford treatment, Men For A Cause™ will help provide the money necessary to assist underserved and less fortunate individuals.

Her name was Maxine Rivera Valdez May. She died September 1, 1992 from Malignant Melanoma (skin cancer).

Maxine Valdez May lived a happy life, full of love and laughter. Maxine was a beautiful, loving woman who enjoyed helping others, even to the very end of her life. Momma Max, as we lovingly called her, lost her battle with cancer approximately 3 months after she was diagnosed.

Momma Max was survived by her husband Tony, her 18 year old son Sancho, 8 year old daughter Arianna, 3 month old son Aaron, her two step children Anthony and Fawn.  Momma Max’s survivors have never fully recovered as they have grown up with the absence of their mother.

Momma Max cannot have died in vain…
