Mr. Anthony May Board Chair /CEO/Ambassador
|
|
Anthony May is the founder, CEO and chairman of the board at Men For A Cause. He provides strategic direction, business development and fundraising for the company. He is a champion in uniting, motivating and providing education for men in need of community as they support their loved ones in battles against illnesses. His singular vision is to build a non-profit organization that will make positive changes in the lives of men and their families/loved ones around world.
He has encountered many types of cancer among his closest friends and family. His stepmother “Momma Max” passed away from cancer when he was 16. Most recently his great grandfather passed from cancer, his fiancé battled skin cancer and her sister successfully overcame breast cancer. Each person’s battle made a profound impact on him.
Through researching breast cancer, he discovered the world had successfully formed a “pink sisterhood” but that male education about breast cancer had somehow been overlooked—taking an emotional toll while leaving the husbands, boyfriends, fathers, brothers and sons without adequate information or support. He also learned that awareness of male breast cancer was virtually nonexistent. Men For A Cause is his vision of helping to fill that void while building something even greater for future generations.
Anthony is an accomplished entrepreneur with more than 15 years experience who has combined his managerial and business acumen into helping companies realize dramatic growth and value.
He is the principal and founder of Metro Business Services. Previously he founded Tour Coupes. Before Tour Coupes, Anthony was the business strategist as well as director of advertising and sales for Tabor Communications Inc., a leading publisher of two online journals, where he was responsible for 80 percent of TCI's revenue for seven years.
He began his career as an executive chef. He later became an exhibition chef and eventually founded a successful catering business.
